Ultimate Au Pair Finalist: Henrike from Germany

Henrike ("Hetty" to our children) has been a welcome addition to our household this year. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she was focused on building a relationship with our two toddlers. Her loving approach helped her earn their trust and admiration: they love when Hetty sings them German lullabies, takes them to the library, and tells them fairy tales in a fort of blankets. During the holidays, Hetty made German cookies and shared some of her family's other traditions.

What makes Hetty the ultimate Au Pair, though, isn't just that the kids have fun with her. She is patient when reinforcing manners, mediating disputes over toys, and making sure that they keep things clean.
