Football season is coming to an end, and that means one thing: the Super Bowl is near! As an American favorite, the Super Bowl comes once a year as the two top football teams battle for the National Championship. This is a huge day in American culture as friends and families come together to watch the big game, eat delicious food, and cheer for their favorite teams. To get ready for the big celebration, be the ultimate fan by making some Super Bowl crafts to share with everyone. Here are some of our favorites:
Use a stencil to cut out a triangle shape to create your football pennant. Place the stencil on your fake grass and cut out as many triangles you feel will be enough to make the pennant of your desired length.
Cut the white duct tape into the numbers and thin lines to replicate your very own football field.
Make a pennant for each year line and trim the white duct tape once you’re finished. You’ll need to make a 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, and 10.
Connect the pennants with white ribbon and duct tape.
Hang it up before the big game!
Super Bowl PomPoms
What you’ll need:
2 packs of different colored streamers
Masking tape
Pipe cleaner
Scissors
What you’ll do:
Cut 12 two-foot long strip pieces of your selected streamers.
Once you have your 24 total pieces, place them down one at a time and slightly overlap them.
After you’ve laid all the pieces down, you should see a large pinwheel shape.
Using one hand, grab the middle section and fold it in half vertically.
Next grab the tops and squeeze them to make your pom pom handles. The masking tape and pipe cleaner come in handy here to make sure you have a stable handle for twirling.
Finally cut each pom pom in half so there can be plenty for everyone to cheer on their favorite team!
