AuPairCare wins Best Nanny Agency - Bay Area Award

San Francisco, California - AuPairCare, the nation's leading au pair agency that matches American families with international au pairs, has been recognized by Bay Area Parent Magazine as one of the best nanny services in the Bay Area as part of their Best of the Best awards. The award for Best Nanny Service' covers the East Bay, Peninsula, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco/Marin areas as part of the Best of the Bay Contest.

Each year, Bay Area Parent Magazine, which provides parenting information and news for local families, names the most reputable businesses as chosen by its readers. AuPairCare has won awards for being one of the best nanny agencies in each region for the last nine years.

In addition to providing a cultural childcare program for families and au pairs, AuPairCare applauds the community service efforts of both participants and staff that help to build a more enriching experience. From fundraising walks and community events, au pairs find ways to give back to their host community.

This year, AuPairCare participated in two impactful volunteering events in the Bay Area: Exchange Day and California's Coastal Clean-Up. On Exchange Day, cultural exchange organizations partake in charitable activities that support local communities. For this year's Exchange Day, AuPairCare program participants and staff spent the day volunteering at the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank packing and organizing food that would be delivered to Bay Area families in need. A few weeks later, au pairs, families, and staff joined the California Coastal Clean-Up Day efforts. From Santa Cruz to San Francisco, AuPairCare volunteers came together to help clean the Bay Area's beaches and waterways by removing trash and recyclables from California waters.

San Francisco host mom Casey Barnes attended this year's beach clean-up and said, This event was an amazing opportunity for my whole family, including my au pair Dani. Dani is able to feel like she's part of the local community and spend time with au pairs in the area. Plus, I was happy to have my kids participate in an activity that gave back to their community in a fun and simple way. We learned that it's important to spend time volunteering, no matter where in the world you are.

In the next few months, AuPairCare has planned events to volunteer at children's hospitals, food drives, and create care packages and Build-a-Bears for children in need. These events exemplify how this community goes above and beyond the expectations of a cultural exchange program and represent how people from different backgrounds and cultures can come together to make a difference.
