If you love children, travel, and culture, this program is for you
Use your childcare experience to spend one year in the United States as an au pair. During the program you will be able to explore your local community and also travel with friends or your host family to other parts of the country.
An immersive childcare experience
You will have multiple roles: best friend, sibling, daughter or son, caregiver, and most importantly an extended family member. AuPairCare kids are like any others – they love learning and playing, and they thrive with the help of their au pairs.

Your second family is waiting for you
Host families vary in size, background, and needs. All of them are looking for someone who becomes part of their family and will take care of their children while they are working. To find the right host family, start by creating a profile to highlight your experience, interests, and skills, and interact with potential host families who are interested to match with you.
Finding your match
Our high match success rate and reputation for customer service is a result of listening to your needs. The needs of our au pairs are just as important as those of our families.
We want to help you find a family that is a great fit for you. You will be able to meet with host families online, ask and answer questions, and decide together if you would like to match.

There are multiple start dates every month so that you can start your year in the U.S. depending on your own and your host family's needs. University students typically start between June and September.
Yes, the program is a minimum of 12 months per the U.S Department of State regulations. You will be surprised how fast it will go by! Most au pairs end up being sad that the year went by too quickly. Remember you can always extend, like so many other au pairs do! If you plan to start university afterwards start your program in time to be back in time for university.
We recommend between 3-12 months before you want to start your program. If you are in your last year of high school it might make sense to apply 6-9 months prior to your preferred start date so that your application does not interfere with your final exams.
The AuPairCare program includes a comprehensive travel and accident insurance package so that all the basics are covered.
